Cecilia Sullivan's "Seaview Guest Home" is beautifully situated on a hill in Aptos, with a magnificent view of the ocean. It is an assisted living facility, but the word "facility" does not do it justice. "Home" best describes it, for the small group of people living there are treated not as "guests," but as family. They eat together, play games together, watch TV together, sit together on the patio--but always under the watchful eyes of Cecilia and her gentle staff (which includes her lovely daughters). I had looked at many assited living facilities for my father, but when a friend of mine suggested Seaview, and Cecilia took me on a tour, I knew the tastefully furnished house with hardwood floors, a piano standing in the living room, and the lovely garden, was a place where my father could be happy.
